Hey there! I’m so glad you’re here!

My name’s Jen and I’m the 30-something 😉 years young gal behind jchandelle.com. I’m a wife, a mama, a homemaker, a homeschooler, and a woman who wears many hats! I’m here to share my stories, my recipes, the wisdom I’ve gained over the years, and most importantly motherhood encouragement.

This is a place for anyone who finds solace in a simple life and like me, enjoys living slow in this fast paced world.

I’m a simple woman really and on any given day you can find me in my home doing ordinary stay-at-home mom stuff. Cooking, cleaning, reading, puzzling, homeschooling, and the likes. I enjoy living a slow and simple life and being the caretaker of my home. But most importantly, taking care of my family. That truly is the most important job that I will ever have!

I’ve been a stay-at-home mom since 2019 and it is an absolute honor to have brought my children into the world and have the opportunity to be with them every day. I enjoy helping them to cultivate a love of learning while encouraging them to explore their curiosity about the world around them. And learning so many things myself alongside of them!

Motherhood isn’t something that I was raised learning much about honestly. As a little girl and young woman, I didn’t have great role models in my life to look up to or learn from. I didn’t have a gentle and loving mother. My parents separated when I was young and my father was mostly MIA in my life. I always dreamed of having a family of my own. Maybe I could create what I never had growing up. You know? That has come with many challenges for a woman like me, but all of them have been so worth it! I love learning new things, gaining new skills, and being a mother (even when my kids drive me up a wall😅). There is so much personal growth that happens for us women when we step into motherhood. It’s quite amazing!

So, with all that to say, my intention in creating this space has been to encourage other women who may have grown up similarly. Women who longed to be mothers, but don’t have mothers to look up to themselves. Women who want to stay at home with their children, but feel overwhelmed. Women who want to be homemakers, but were never taught how to cook for a family, or how to manage a home. If that sounds like you, I want you to know that you’re not alone. Not at all! These are all things that I had to learn on my own, and I want to help you!

Wishing you all the best wishes and delicious dishes,

Jen
