Summer may be coming to a close, but indoor S’mores are a treat that you can make year round. And thank goodness for that! Whether you have an electric stove or a gas range, it’s as easy as 1-2-3 to make s’mores indoors. No campfire needed!

Equipment need to make stove top S’mores

  • Baking sheet
  • Metal or wooden skewers (to toast marshmallows)

Ingredients to make stove top S’mores

  • Grahams crackers (any kind, but we prefer honey graham crackers)
  • Chocolate bar (any kind, but we prefer milk chocolate)
  • Large marshmallows

Instructions to make stove top S’mores

1. Break the graham crackers in half and lay them face down on a baking sheet.

2. Lay a piece of chocolate on half of the graham crackers.

3. Place the baking sheet into your oven on a high broil for 2 minutes or until the chocolate is melted.

4. While the chocolate is in the oven melting, turn your stove burner onto high and roast your marshmallows using metal or wooden skewers.

5. Once the chocolate is melted, pull your pan from the oven and sandwich your roasted marshmallows between the graham crackers just as you normally would.

That’s it! Quick, easy and delicious! They are ready to DEVOUR!

Common Questions

Can you roast a marshmallow on the stovetop?

YES! And as stated above, it’s super simple to do!

Can I roast marshmallows in the oven?

Yes! If you prefer, you can place a marshmallow on the graham cracker halves that don’t have chocolate on them, and roast in the oven with the crackers and chocolate. Once done, just assemble them as normal.

How do you make s’mores on a gas stovetop?

The same way you would on an electric stove! Turn on your burner, and slowly rotate your skewered marshmallow over the flame until it reaches your desired color.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 graham crackers split in half
  • 1 chocolate bar split into 4 equal parts
  • 4 large marshmallows

  • Break your graham crackers in half and place them face side down on a baking sheet.
  • Divide a chocolate bar into 4 equal parts. Then place a piece onto 4 of the graham cracker halves.
  • Place the baking sheet into your oven on a high broil for 2 minutes.
  • During this time, put your marshmallows onto skewers and turn one of your stovetop burners onto high. Slowly rotate each marshmallow over the burner until it reaches your desired toasty-ness and color.
  • Lastly, once your chocolate is melted, remove the baking sheet from the oven and sandwich your toasted marshmallows between a graham cracker with chocolate and one without.
  • Then enjoy!

    Rainy days won’t stop us from making S’mores! These stovetop s’mores are just as good as making them over an open fire, if not even better because the chocolate is nice and melted! Love, love, love making these with my kiddos as a little after dinner treat.
